It is believed that all rivers and rivers in the world are formed from Oceanos and Tethys. In this mosaic, which was unearthed in Zeugma and is thought to be the pool floor of one of the villas, Oceanos and Tethys are depicted surrounded by sea creatures. Eros riding dolphins or fishing can also be seen in the mosaic.
