Gaziantep`in Nizip il\u00e7esinde, F\u0131rat nehri k\u0131y\u0131s\u0131nda bulunan ve bir b\u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc GAP kapsam\u0131nda in\u015fa edilen Birecik Baraj\u0131 g\u00f6l sular\u0131 alt\u0131nda kalan Zeugma antik kentinde, Zeugma Giri\u015fim Grubu`nca y\u00fcr\u00fct\u00fclen kaz\u0131 \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 sona erdi. Zeugma antik kentindeki kurtarma kaz\u0131lar\u0131na destek amac\u0131yla \u0130stanbul`da olu\u015fturulan sivil inisiyatif Zeugma Giri\u015fim Grubu`nun Kaz\u0131 Koordinat\u00f6r\u00fc Prof. Dr. \u00dcmit Serdaro\u011flu, A.A muhabirine, \u201c Kazma ve k\u00fcrekleri toplamam\u0131za kar\u015f\u0131n, plan, foto\u011fraf, temizlik ve baz\u0131 restorasyon i\u015flemleri s\u00fcrecek. Kas\u0131m ay\u0131 sonuna kadar Zeugmaday\u0131z \u201c dedi. Zeugma antik kentindeki bilimsel \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmay\u0131, bir sivil olu\u015fum olan Zeugma Giri\u015fim Grubu ad\u0131na 15 A\u011fustos`ta ba\u015flatt\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 an\u0131msatan Prof. Dr. Serdaro\u011flu, zor ko\u015fullarda \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131 kaydetti. Prof. Dr. Serdaro\u011flu, T\u00fcrk ve yabanc\u0131 arkeologlardan olu\u015fan K\u00fclt\u00fcr Bakanl\u0131\u011f\u0131 kaz\u0131 ekibinin arazi \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmas\u0131na 4 Ekim`de son verdiklerini belirterek, \u015f\u00f6yle konu\u015ftu: \u201c Zeugma`ya \u00e7ok zor ko\u015fullarda ve (\u00f6n\u00fcm\u00fczde 90 g\u00fcn var) bilgisiyle geldik. Geldi\u011fimizde bu 90 g\u00fcn\u00fcn 30 g\u00fcn\u00fc zaten ge\u00e7mi\u015fti. Geldi\u011fimizde \u00e7ok olumsuz ko\u015fullarla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015ft\u0131k. Ne Nizip`te ne de Birecik`te kamp ve otel olana\u011f\u0131 yoktu. Ya\u015fad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z olumsuzluklar nedeniyle ancak 4 ekip olu\u015fturabildik ve her ekibi bir yere da\u011f\u0131tt\u0131k. Zaman zaman 40-50 dereceyi bulan s\u0131ca\u011fa ra\u011fmen 2 vardiya halinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmay\u0131 s\u00fcrd\u00fcrd\u00fck.
